Description

Caregiving doesn't stay at the door when someone logs on for work. Shifting schedules, last-minute emergencies, and the mental load of caring for a child or dependent adult affect focus, availability, and energy in the workplace – whether or not an employee ever discloses what's happening at home. These pressures can show up in employee absenteeism, disengagement, and turnover.

In this session, RethinkCare's Dr. Angela Nelson and Kristi Bandi explore how caregiving affects availability, focus, and performance at work, and how HR, Benefits and Total Rewards leaders can respond with greater consistency and confidence, backed by organizational resources.

What you'll learn:

  • How caregiving responsibilities affect employee availability, focus, and performance

  • Manager practices that build consistency and confidence in supporting caregiving employees that HR teams can share with their organization’s leaders

  • How pairing manager support with the right organizational resources reduces caregiver strain and strengthens retention

This session is designed for leaders across HR, Benefits, Total Rewards, Employee Experience, and People functions.
